“I've been lucky to have Sarah as a lactation consultant for both of my babies. Breastfeeding was such a challenge with my first and I was feeling really discouraged by the time I found Sarah. She gave me the support and encouragement I needed to keep going and I was able to successfully breastfeed my son for over 2 years. I knew I wanted Sarah's support again with my second baby and was scheduling an appointment with her the day he was born. She's been invaluable to my breastfeeding journeys and I can't recommend her enough goes here.”

“As a new mom trying to nourish my baby, I was exhausted, worried, and desperate for help. We reached out to Sarah and from the moment my husband and I walked in the room, she had a way of instantly putting us at ease. Sarah listened to our lactation concerns, provided incredible information, assisted my husband in ways he could be involved, and we left the appointment with an overwhelming sense of relief that everything would be okay. Sarah was a true gift to my journey into motherhood. I had almost given up on breastfeeding- believing there was something wrong with me- and I just wished I had gone to see her sooner because she made me feel empowered with her warmth, wonderful sense of humor, and wisdom. Thank you, Sarah!”

“I don’t know what I did to deserve Sarah as a Lactation Consultant, but man did I luck out. If I wouldn’t have found her, I wouldn’t have breastfed for as long as I did. Sarah was always so kind, caring, and incredibly patient with me and the millions of questions I had about our breastfeeding journey. I literally couldn’t have done it without her. She advocated for the health and well-being of my daughter, as well as my own. I felt so seen and so cared for. Couldn’t ask for more.” -

What is an IBCLC?

International Board Certified Lactation Consultants function and contribute as members of the maternal-child health team. They provide care in a variety of settings while making appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community support resources. Working together with families, policymakers, and society, IBCLCs provide expert breastfeeding and lactation care, promote changes that support breastfeeding and help reduce the risks of not breastfeeding.
